Dr. Narayn Pillai is an interventional cardiologist with a special interest in peripheral vascular disease. He received his MD from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), India. He completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, followed by an interventional cardiology fellowship at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He spent three years in academics teaching residents and cardiology fellows before moving to private practice. Dr. Pillai was involved in clinical research both at the University of Massachusetts and Cincinnati and has published his work in scientific journals.
He completed a dedicated Vascular Fellowship at the Prairie Vascular Institute and expanded his expertise in peripheral arterial and venous disease. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. He is a designated Fellow of both the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI), and holds additional certification as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI).

Dr. Pillai is dedicated to saving lives in emergent and non-emergent situations through complex interventions and appreciates the opportunity to care for people in their most vulnerable moments. When he is not working, he cherishes his time with his beautiful wife, Shaachi Gupta, an oncologist in the East Valley, and two adorable children.
